This project will optimize the course “Sustainable Materials” for students who are interested at the sustainability industry and from a variety of disciplines with heterogeneous study backgrounds and preliminary knowledge. The self-learning materials with six interdisciplinary modules (materials physics, materials chemistry, characterization techniques, materials digitalization, circular economy, sustainability) and self-assessment quizzes will be implemented and integrated into Moodle. Students will adaptively learn with these modules and complete the quizzes before face-to-face lectures. Moreover, the learning format and the content of face-to-face lectures will be optimized by using interactive learning tools and interdisciplinary collaborative project work. The objective of this project is to offer students interdisciplinary learning opportunities to improve their knowledge base and to develop their key competence in the interdisciplinary field of sustainable development.
